1st August: We went to see Bradley Wiggins win the olympic cycling time trial.

4th-6th August: Pete, Gwyn & Carl's epic 310-mile bike ride from Sheffield to Glasgow. 

...meanwhile the girls were having fun in York.

11th Aug: Another active weekend - this time a 22-mile peak-bagging expedition near Ullswater, finishing at the pub in Pooley Bridge just in time to cheer on Mo Farah in the 5,000m final.

19th: The climbing wall has had a make-over, with the children's section built like a castle. Emily and Katie are beginning to move on to the main walls now, and this time they reached the top for the first time.
