July 2011 - Camping in Filey

23rd: The holiday started with Emily & Katie's first football match: a pre-season friendly for Leeds at Sheffield Weds

25th: We enjoyed the scarecrow festival at Muston

26th: Spent the day mountain-biking at Dalby Forest, where the bike hire shop very kindly let Pete borrow some pedals for the day. 

27th: A visit to Scarborough, joined by Grandma & Grandad.

Scarborough castle had a pirate-themed activity day.

We finished the day with fish & chips on Filey prom.

28th:  Finally enough sunshine to spend the day at the beach (at least, until the tide came in).

Our traditional holiday meal out at an Italian restaurant, where Megan matched her sisters for appreciation of spaghetti bolognese (although it wasn't as nice as Mummy's home-made one).

29th: Playing on the campsite while Mummy & Daddy pack the car.

Rock-pooling on Filey Brig (without much success) before the tide came in & it was time to drive home.
