Jul 19: Dolomites

CLO club trip to the Maratona dles Dolomites 2019
2nd

3rd. A very wet ride, with a couple of hours in a mountaintop cafe waiting for a break in the weather that never came.
Then a meal before heading down the valley to register for the event and collect the fancy new kit.
4th

5th. Feeling fatigued so I went for a short gentle solo ride instead of joining the group.

6th:

7th: A very early start for the main event. Managed a quicker time than 2016, but not quite the sub-6 hours that I had hoped for.

Jun 19

5th: Cross-country assembly
6th: Drighlington BC 10 mile TT. A personal best time of 21:06.
12th: A rainy evening for our club time trial, but a good turnout in support of the organiser, who was recovering from a bad crash at the velodrome.

13th: Katie turns 14.
15th: Megan's party.

16th: On the way back from another time trial near Cambridge (50-mile PB: 1:52:23), a genealogical stop to see St John the Baptist church in Peterborough, where 3x-great-grandad Samuel Laud was baptised in 1775.
The church history booklet notes that this font is dated from the 15th century.
There happened to be a large heritage festival on, with re-enactments and stalls from different eras.
19th: More time trialling.
21st: presents, flying & prom.

22nd: at the Beck family gathering.
29th: School fair.
