1 Apr: We Ride Flanders

1st Apr: Long weekend in Belgium to spend a day cycling 240km round Belgium, and a day recovering in the sun watching the professionals do the same, at the Ronde van Vlanderen.

Note how many people have got off to walk up this hill, which is a 400m cobbled climb of up to 20% gradient, after 220km of riding. (I come through from about 00:30)

Feb-Mar 17

11th Feb: The 'Occasionally Hilly' audax (cycling event) run by my cycling club. 125 people had entered in advance, of whom only 25 braved the snowy conditions. I was the first out of only 5 people to make it all the way round! I had the benefit of a borrowed bike with knobbly tyres.

19th: Megan's first try at the 'round the reservoir' ride. We set off too late to complete the ride, but did enough to earn an ice-cream.

20th: York Museum Gardens with Grandma

21st: 'Jump inc.'

4th Mar: Matlock CC 'Hilly time-trial'. 16th place out of 37.

25th: Nostell Priory

26th: CLO time trial, 9th place out of 26. (2nd placed 'athlete')
