17th: Father's day / Jubilee gala day at the National Mining Museum
23rd: A camping trip to Eskdale for Pete & the girls was almost cancelled due to rain and an offer from Suzanne to stay at her house. In the end we camped in the garden! Wet weather activities included swimming, looking round the Puzzling Place, and cramming into a phone box.
Katie had lots of fun playing with Baby Ella.
24th: A wet-weather walk along Aira Force. Of course the sun came out as soon as it was time to go home.
25th: The Olympic torch relay came through Sheffield.
30th: Camping with the Atkinsons, with a proper camp fire.
Nature trail.

May/June 2012
24th May: Spotty Megan
29th May: Look what happens when Daddy's left in charge - join the dots!
Meanwhile Emily enjoys a Jubilee party at Brownies with Lydia.
2nd June: Half-term walking in the Lakes. On the way up Shipman Knotts (Megan didn't walk the whole way!)
4th June: Katie was sofa-bound with chicken pox, so Daddy got a day out, first cycling 40 miles over Honister & Whinlatter passes...
... then a quick spot of peak-bagging in the afternoon with Mark.
Relaxing with a barbecue in the evening at Mark & Sue's.
6th June: Breakfast with Matthew & Adrian.
Back home Katie had a bath and let us inspect her spots. Unfortunately a bit too much sun exposure just before the rash came out caused an 'enhanced' rash (called "actinic varicella") - you can see her strap-lines!
7th June: Doctor Megan helping to make Katie better.
