 2nd July: Charlotte & Katie's visit to Grandad's, with a trip to the beach, and helping at the allotment.

4th: Meanwhile at home, Megan's caterpillars are metamorphosing.

10th: Ballet exam.
11th: Releasing the butterflies.

16th: ?Last day at Westways.

18th: Portraits in Grandma's garden.






24th: On an "auto-belay" route at Awesome Walls.
24th: Bear-hunting in Sheffield city centre.
25th: Joining Andy Cribb for 1 day of his month-long ride climbing all the "100 climbs".
25th: "Beat the Street" challenge map.
27th: 
31st: Dad & Megan camping trip - first outing with the new car (Sharan). We stayed at Borrowdale after climbing Eagle Crag and Sergeant's Crag.

1st August: Buttermere - Red Pike, High Stile & High Crag





13th: ?Rother Valley

18th: Camping in Great Langdale. Day 1 walk up Seat Sandal.
Camped at Chapel Stile, we discovered that charging phones in the car overnight drains the battery!
19th: Pavey Ark, Thunacar Knott, High Raise, Sergeant Man & Blea Rigg


23rd: Bamford Edge walk.
Going barefoot. Just because.
25th: Birthday trip to Bradford Science and Media Museum.


followed by a meal out in Broomhill.
27th: Day trip to Scarborough. This cobbled hill looks like a good challenge for a cycle ride.

Surfing lesson for some of us. (Pete had a bad back so couldn't take part, and Emily didn't fancy it.)





29th: Sunday stroll and tea at the Plough, Low Bradfield.

30th: Escape room

2nd Sept: Mummy's birthday
11th: Pete's trip to Scotland, with luxurious accommodation in Strathpeffer
Day 1 in the Fannichs was grey, cold and wet, so cut the walk down from the planned 7 Munros to "only" 4.
12th: Drove West to Torridon for day 2, with much better views on Beinn Alligin









13th: Switched to the bike for day 3, to climb the famous Bealach na Ba, graded "11 out of 10" - "The toughest and wildest climb in Britain".



25th: Secondary cross-country running.
26th: 19!
