Oct 2012 - Half term London trip
29th: Science museum.
Megan enjoyed her first tube train ride. Later in the week we were amused by her mimicking a lady opposite her who was chewing gum.
Katie 'got stuck in' at the Launchpad hands-on exhibit. It was busy, but worth doing first - when we came out, there were long queues to get in.
Emily on the bridge:
Every layer of this sculpture was made of a different material.
Just passing through, but we were fascinated by the flight exhibit.
Cross-section of a jumbo-jet.
30th: The National Gallery & Trafalgar Square.
Trying to recreate a photo from my childhood - but without the pigeons.
31st: Enjoying another Premier Inn cooked breakfast.
Natural History Museum. In the hidden basement room where you get to handle the exhibits.
When we'd had enough of looking at stuffed animals, we went for a quick look in the V&A.
1st Nov: On the way home, we stayed a night in Coventry for a trip to Drayton Manor Park. Emily & Katie had their first go on a proper roller-coaster, but Megan was a bit overwhelmed by the Thomas Land version.
