August 2011. Summer Holiday, Part 3.
Visiting baby Anna
Birthday meal with Grandma & Grandad, and a visit to the bear at the Botanical Gardens
23rd: Dan & Hattie came to stay for a couple of days
25th: A trip to Magna with Rachel
27th-29th: Bank Holiday weekend camping in the Lakes, including a trip on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite railway
and the Lakes Aquarium
The weather was too windy & rainy for walking up hills, but we had a bit of an epic bike ride round Grizedale Forest, and then Dave persuaded us to take the "ferry" to Piel Island
1st Sept: After bailing out of the Lake District, we relocated to warmer climes in Devon, and enjoyed a day on Exmouth beach.
